Enfield Town Ladies FA Cup run continued last Sunday with a 1-0 victory over Great Shelford Ladies at Donkey Lane.

In the First Round Proper they travel to play Fulham Foundation LFC who play in the London and South East Regional Women's League Premier Division which is one step below Enfield's FA Women's Premier League South-East Division One level. The game will pit Step 5 v Step 4 and will be played on Sunday 6th December at the Surrey Sports Park in Guildford.

Other local teams in action are Crystal Palace LFC, London Corinthians LFC and a local Bedfordshire Derby when Bedford LFC face Luton Town LFC.

A team representing Fulham won the FA Women's Cup back in 1985 when the 'Freinds of Fulham' beat Doncaster Belles 2-0 at Craven Cottage. They were also runner's up in 1989 and 1990 but moved to become Wimbledon Ladies who were then re-formed as AFC Wimbledon Ladies following The Don's controversial move to Milton Keynes. Fulham had two further ladies teams from 1993 to 2006 and 2006 to 2010. Between 2000 and 2003 they were a fully professional team winning the competition two further times in 2002 and 2003. The current club were formed in the summer of 2014 with the aim to further develop women's and girl's football at grass roots level.

Enfield Town Ladies face four trips on the road in their forthcoming fixtures. On Sunday they make travel to Lowestoft Town before playing Old Actonians at North Greenford United on Sunday 22nd November. On Sunday 29th November they go to Denham United, who play at Hillingdon Borough's Middlesex Stadium, for a FA Women's Premier League plate tie before the Fulham FA Cup game on Sunday 6th December. Their next scheduled home game at Donkey Lane is on Sunday 13th December when Cambridge United LFC visit North London.

Sunday's opponents Lowestoft lost 1-8 at Crown Meadow in the FA Cup last week to London Corinthians who play in the same division as Fulham Foundation.

The teams from Step 3 (FA Womens Premier League Northern and Southern) enter at the Second Round Proper stage with the 10 teams from the FA Women's Super League 2 entering at the Third Round stage followed by the 8 teams from the FA Women's Super League 1 exempt until the Fifth Round Proper stage - which include last season's winner's Chelsea and runner's up Notts County. At the first round stage teams are seven games from the final!
